Type B FIBC are similar to Type A FIBC in that they are made from plain polypropylene or other non-conductive materials. Like Type A bulk bags, Type B bulk bags do not have any mechanism for dissipating static electricity. The difference is that Type B bulk bags are made from materials that have a low breakdown voltage to prevent the occurrence of highly energetic and dangerous propagating brush discharges (PBD). Type B Bulk Bags can sustain voltage of up to 4 kV. Because of this low breakdown voltage, Type B bags prevent sparks and propagating brush discharges. Safe for: - non-flammable materials - non-combustible materials Type B bags should not be used in environments containing flammable solvents or gases.
